Only 500 spaces left in Brecon Carreg CDF 10K

There are just 500 spaces left to take part in the 2025 Brecon Carreg CDF 10K.

Runners who want to take part in this year’s race but are yet to register are encouraged to do so quickly – as these last remaining spaces are not expected to stick around for long.

More than 7,000 participants have already signed up to the event taking place in the heart of the Welsh capital on Sunday 7 September.

The race is not only a great way to explore the city and its beautiful parkland but it also acts as a fantastic stepping stone to the Oysho Cardiff Half Marathon which takes place just four weeks later.

The 10K showcases some of the best sights Cardiff has to offer including Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium as well as the grade 2 listed parkland of Llandaff and Pontcanna Fields. Runners then get to sprint to the finish line in the Edwardian Civic Centre.

Alongside the main race is also a 2K event to give budding athletes and families the chance to get involved and absorb the race day atmosphere without needing to run the full 10K distance.

Matt Newman, Chief Executive at event organisers Run 4 Wales, said: “It’s not long to go until we’re back in Cardiff for the Brecon Carreg CDF 10K, in what is becoming one of the fastest growing 10K events in Wales.

“This is a popular course and a great day out and with just a handful of entries left, those still keen to take part need to act fast.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the thousands of runners already registered including those fundraising for our lead charity, Kidney Wales, in the first of our autumn events.”
