Brecon Carreg CDF 10K Sells Out!

General entries into this year’s Brecon Carreg CDF 10K have now sold out with one month to go until race day.

It will be the largest ever CDF 10K with 7,800 runners signed up across the 10K and 2K distances and means those who want to take part in the 2025 event can now only enter by signing up to run for one of the event’s official charities or through the Scimitar Business Challenge.

Kidney Wales is lead charity of the event and there are still spaces remaining to join their team. Runners can enter for just £1 when pledging to fundraise a minimum of £125 sponsorship.

Corporate teams of five or more still have the opportunity to run together by entering the Scimitar Business Challenge, battling it out against other businesses to be crowned the fastest with lots of prizes up for grabs.

The Brecon Carreg CDF 10K is the last of the Run 4 Wales 10K Series to take place this year. It acts as a great stepping stone to the Oysho Cardiff Half Marathon just a month later – or allows those who didn’t get a place in the half to still race in the streets of Cardiff.

The route takes in iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium while also incorporating the stunning scenery of the city’s grade 2 listed parklands. Finishing in the Edwardian Civic Centre the event village will be buzzing with activity for runners and spectators to enjoy.

Matt Newman, Chief Executive at event organisers Run 4 Wales, said: “The Brecon Carreg CDF 10K is the fastest growing 10K event in Wales and we’re seeing increased demand from runners wanting to take part year on year.

“It’s a fantastic event with a great atmosphere and as it’s the last event in this year’s R4W 10K Series we’re sure there will be even more celebrations across the finish line from those who have completed all four events in the series.

“For those who’ve missed out on a general entry space there’s still a chance to take part through one of our official charities or in the Scimitar Business Challenge, so join us for what will be a fantastic day in the heart of the Welsh capital.”
