2026 Kidney Wales CDF 10K Athlete Preview
Jenny Long, nee Nesbitt (32:19) and Dan Nash (29:23) are the leading entries for the flat and fast Kidney Wales CDF 10k on Sunday 6 September. Wales’ largest 10km road race celebrates it’s 40th anniversary in 2026 and has hit 10,000 entries for the first time.
Jenny Long returns to racing in her home city and at an event where she finished as the runner-up in 2019 behind long time training partner Charlotte Arter. In 2025 Long re-worked her P.Bs to 71:27 for Half Marathon, 32:19 for 10km and 15:29 for 5km, equalling the Welsh All-comers record for the distance.
Olivia Tsim (33:57) returns to racing post-partum and is joined by Anna Domville (33:59), Tamara Beach (34:29) and Hannah Hobbs (34:54) as the next fastest.
Sam Tyas (29:22) is the fastest athlete in the men’s race and is joined by Welshman Dan Nash (29:23) who is a former UK Record holder for 50km and a regular competitor in this event, finishing fourth in 2024.
They are joined by another six athletes with sub 30-minute form including Felix McGrath (29:33) who was the winner of the Speedway 10K earlier this year and Wales’ Lloyd Sheppard-Brown who won the Tonypandy Track Classic over 5,000m in 13:50.
Last year’s Wheelchair Race winner Owain Terrell (30:12) returns.
