Cardiff Metropolitan University Confirmed As Cardiff 10K Title Sponsor For 2020
We are delighted to announce that Cardiff Metropolitan University will continue as the title sponsor of the Cardiff 10K!
After a fantastic year of working together, we look forward to an even more successful 2020 as we continue to promote health and well-being through one of Cardiff’s most iconic races.
We are incredibly proud to renew our partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University, one of the UK’s leading universities for student sport, and are eager to see what the future brings.
Leigh Robinson, Pro Vice-Chancellor Partnerships and External Engagement at the university comments:
“The race is an excellent opportunity for our staff, students and the wider community to sign up to a challenge and follow the race’s iconic route through our capital city.
We have established a number of live projects across the University enabling both staff and students to feed into the preparation and organisation of the Cardiff 10K. We have a vast array of specialist knowledge and expertise across the University covering elite performance, strength and conditioning, nutrition, podiatry, product design and event management to name but a few.
This partnership enables our students to add real value through their work and allows us as a university to offer a true collaborative approach to education. I’m confident that this partnership will continue to offer a whole range of unique learning opportunities.”
In response to the announcement, Nic Clarke, Director of Operations at Kidney Wales also states:
“We are thrilled to be continuing and further developing our partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University for our flagship event Cardiff 10K. The event has grown dramatically over the past few years and the support from the team at Cardiff Met will ensure that this can continue. We are delighted to be able to work with students and staff from across many departments of the university, and look forward to building on the excellent work that we started this year.”
Here’s to another successful year, and a fantastic race day in 2020!
