2018 Fast & Flat Course!


Are you looking for a PB or looking to take on your first 10K road race? The Nation Radio Cardiff 10K is the perfect race for runners of all abilities.  This years flat & fast course is expected to be a favourite passing some of the most iconic landmarks across the City including The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium.

Due to the increase in numbers, this years race will see a separate start and finish for the first time in its race history.   Runners will begin their journey on King Edward VII Avenue where they will run along the impressive buildings within the Civic Centre. After turning left onto North Road passing The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama runners will continue along in front of the castle taking a left onto Westgate street running a circle around Cardiff’s iconic city centre stadium the Principality via Wood Street and Fitzhamon Embankment.  Runners will hit the 4K mark on Cathedral road, and then the 5K drink station sponsored by Brecon Carreg within Llandaff Fields.  Following a short stretch on Western avenue, the beautiful scenery of Bute Park will be on show with the next section of the route taking runners through Pontcanna Fields via the Swalec Cricket Stadium and Sport Wales.  The final 2K of this city centre race will see runners head back onto Castle street where they will be greeted by thousands of their friends and family lining the streets of the city.  This years finish area will be set up on Museum Avenue adjacent to King Edward VII Avenue.
